Tableau Pulse Updates March 24 | New in Tableau 2024.1

Tableau Pulse is being updated behind the scenes outside the normal release cycle, so here's how to keep track of every change.

Part ofTableau PulseWhat's new in Tableau 2024.1
  • The Tableau Release Navigator is the most up-to-date, detailed list of changes across the whole Tableau product suite, and you can filter it down to just Tableau Pulse
  • Because Pulse is cloud and browser only, updates roll out continuously rather than waiting for the now three-times-a-year release cycle
  • Some Tableau Cloud instances run slightly ahead of the release cadence, which explains why users see bugs that others on a more advanced instance don't
  • New March features include ad hoc questions matched to existing insights, applied filters shown above the chart, improved metric recommendations from dashboards, and clearer navigation back to Tableau Cloud
  • Pre-aggregated fields in metric definitions, previously a bug for many users, have now been pushed live in Pulse
