0:02Man, this is interesting.

0:05So the Tableau Agent is a capability that's come to dashboards.

0:08Now it requires you to have Tableau AI enabled, which requires you to have

0:12a SKU or a license that connects to the Tableau AI capabilities.

0:17Some of these require you to have access to essentially the top-tier Tableau license level.

0:22So the first thing is to use any AI capability you need that.

0:26The second thing is this then connects to Tableau Cloud directly.

0:30So what is essentially happening is desktop is calling this specific capability and it runs inside of the cloud.

0:37Now in this particular instance this is happening in web altering.

0:40And specifically for Tableau Cloud.

0:42You can't do this in Tableau Server, at least not yet.

0:45And so what this allows us to do is essentially have narratives about our data inside of this Tableau agent

0:51Now this is not the first time that this has been done.

0:53We actually used to have something called Explain Data and we've had a couple of other features that have actually touched on this.

0:58Tableau acquired this company called Narrative Science a really long time ago and actually they pioneered

1:04this kind of way of summarizing information.

1:06There was a feature called stories, which was a way of basically building these into the dashboard directly.

1:12I don't even know if that feature still exists.

1:14where if it's been quietly deprecated and moved to Tableau Agent.

1:17Something I'll check out when this feature releases, but yeah, this is essentially what this feature is.

1:21Narratives that help explain the data that's going on to the left in the side panel.

1:26So kind of handy.
