0:04type function. Here you can see I have some

0:06water bodies in London and one of the

0:08things you might

0:09want to know is which of these are single

0:11line or multi-line geometries in terms of

0:13spatial data.

0:14Well if I head over to the shape type

0:16function tab you can see here that I've

0:18actually got a

0:18calculation that already does that. It's

0:21new in 23.2 and it's super simple you

0:23simply feed it the

0:24geometry so if I open up this calculation

0:27and click edit and we take a look at it you

0:29simply

0:29give it the geometry field and add shape

0:31type around it and that's pretty much it.

0:34It will

0:34return whatever geometry type is being used

0:36it should really be called geometry type

0:38but hey ho

0:39it's called shape type check it out.
