  • You can now format parameter number and currency settings directly in WebEdit on Tableau Server and Online, bringing it closer to Desktop parity
  • The standard currency formatting includes a built-in list of countries and currencies, so you can pick one without manual customisation
  • The new Lightning colour palettes (default, colour safe, light, dark, blue grass, sunrise, water, watermelon) are designed to match Salesforce colours
  • Salesforce Lightning palettes are categorical, suited to distinct dimension values rather than continuous or diverging colour ranges

Tableau Release Notes: Salesforce-style colour palettes Quickly apply the same colour styles of your Salesforce dashboards to your Tableau visualisations. Streamline the customisation process when embedding a Tableau visualisation into any Salesforce dashboard by selecting the Salesforce-specific colours, now available as a new colour palette.

New formatting capabilities Choose from a variety of number and date formatting options for parameters on Tableau Online and Tableau Server. For numbers, you can now easily format them to display negative values and localise currency with the proper symbol and value. For date fields, use any common date and time format or quickly customise it according to your company’s standards. ‍
