Metrics improvements - New in Tableau 2022.2

Metrics in Tableau 2022.2 are finally portable — edit the configuration without ever going back to the dashboard.

Part ofWhat's new in Tableau 2022.2
  • You can now edit a metric's description and configuration directly from the metric, rather than rebuilding it from the dashboard
  • The date range can be set to preset periods, max, or a custom rolling range such as 18 months
  • Historical comparisons let you compare to a number of prior months and show a comparison line on the visualisation
  • Target lines can be added via the comparison type, with dynamic status indicators turning red or green based on performance
  • The context switcher brings the mobile swipe-between-ranges experience back to desktop

You can now come back and edit existing metrics to change the historical comparison period, the date range used by the metric and the status indicators. Additionally, you can dynamically explore different date windows while analysing the metric without editing the configuration.#tableau #salesforce #analytics #dataFollow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TableauTim My recording gear & what’s on my desk. https://kit.co/TableauTim/desk-setup My website: https://www.tableautim.com/ My Screen Annotation Tool: https://j.mp/3HWc4MjMy technology Channel: https://j.mp/3F0d28fShare feedback and Suggestions: https://tableautim.canny.io/suggestions
