# Notion now supports Tableau Embeds natively.

> This is content from just-tim, the data-and-analytics channel by Tim Ngwena (formerly 'Tableau Tim'). Tim has 12+ years of hands-on BI experience and covers Tableau most of all, plus Power BI, Looker, Hex, SQL and data modelling, the analytics industry, and the craft of doing the job — always tool-agnostic and honest about the trade-offs.

I share a quick update that Notion now natively supports embedding both public and private Tableau dashboards, which is far simpler than the multi-step workaround I demonstrated back in August. I walk through pasting a Tableau Public link into a Notion embed block and explain why this makes Notion an excellent place to build a curated data portfolio.

## Key takeaways

- Notion now lets you embed Tableau dashboards by typing backslash, choosing the embed block, and pasting the viz link directly
- The new method works with private Tableau Cloud and Server links, not just Tableau Public, removing the old limitation
- You can resize the embed window, but making it smaller than the viz's intended space crops it, so spacing matters
- For full-width visualisations you need to set the Notion page to full width for the embed to expand properly
- Notion's flexible blocks, toggles and text let you curate a tailored data portfolio that links out to blogs, videos and other assets
